About RAWHEALTH

   We can thank our dogs for getting us into the pet food business. In 2002, we were looking for a high quality manufactured raw food to feed our cocker spaniels, but there was nothing on the market that was up to the standards I wanted for our dogs. So I decided to make my own. With Denise’s help, we developed a formula that was simple, high quality, and nourishing. We showed it to our veterinarian, Dr. Al Nunez,  who must have thought it was pretty good, because he asked me to make him some to stock in his two clinics. We said “OK”, and called it RAWHEALTH. Almost immediately, my vet’s clients started cleaning out his freezers on a regular basis. By this time, word had gotten out and a number of dog breeders and local retailers asked me if they could stock RAWHEALTH as well. The rest is history. What everyone liked about it then is what pet owners still like today. The quality of our fresh ingredients. That we use only USDA premium meats. It’s 100% natural. And that it remains true to its nutritional value. Once pet food is cooked and processed it loses most of the vital nourishment pets need. That’s exactly what happens to most canned and dry foods. But RAWHEALTH is not cooked or processed. It provides 100% true nutrition in every meal.

   Unlike other raw diets, at RAWHEALTH we choose not to include a lot of redundant ingredients that may cause allergies in some dogs or cats. We want to make sure virtually all pets can enjoy our natural goodness. And although it’s complete, if you want to add a few extras, that’s OK. We know how pet parents like to fuss over their cats and dogs. Denise likes to put in fresh string beans. They’re one of Casey’s favorites.
